Hi, I'm Jacenta.
My professional writing career started during my tenure at the University of Georgia as a writer for the Red & Black newspaper. When print journalism wasn’t as exciting as I had hoped, I ventured into television journalism. I worked in local news for a few years before branching out again into the digital sphere of blogging and content creation. My primary focus has been tailored to helping small businesses communicate effectively with current and potential clients. Thankful for an opportunity to add “Published Author” to the repertoire. I am excited to see where this journey takes me next.
How I started my career as a
My professional writing career began during my tenure at the University of Georgia. As a student, I earned a measly salary but gained invaluable experience as a writer for the Red & Black newspaper. When print journalism began to be a bit too mundane, I ventured into television journalism. I worked for local news stations for a few years before branching out again into the digital sphere of blogging and content creation.
Since 2015, my primary focus has been tailored to helping small businesses communicate effectively with current and potential clients. Wiring my first novel was a nice change of pace. Thankful for an opportunity to add “Published Author” to the repertoire. I am excited to see where this journey takes me next.
Motivation
I believe writing is a talent, and I’m grateful God blessed me with it. Writing an article, blog, or even a book that others read and truly enjoy is a pleasure. However, using my words to communicate and express God’s principles for how we should do life is an honor-– it’s the largest source of motivation I’ve identified thus far. After all, words frame our world. (Hebrews 11:3)
Inspiration & Creativity
Though I never aspired to be an author, I always loved to write. So many years ago, my 1st grade teacher, the late Ms. Amilee Bullock Williams, planted a seed of inspiration. She introduced me to imagination. She stirred up my initial interst in grammar by encouraging my inner competitor to write the most creative, longest sentences I could fathom… and I did!
